This 120 credit qualification has been created to develop those learners who are looking to choose, or already have chosen, a career in a business-related sector. It is envisaged that this programme will encourage both academic and professional development so that your learners move forward to realize not just their own potential but also that of organizations across a broad range of sectors.

The rationale of the programme is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their core capabilities within the cyber security and risk management sector. The outcome of the Diploma, which is a recognized UK qualification, is for learners to develop the cyber security skills required by organizations globally. In doing so, the qualification looks to develop the cyber security team leaders, managers and leaders of the future through the creation and delivery of learning appropriate for that industry.

The Level 4 Diploma in Cyber Security provides its learner the realistic and appropriate career-related opportunities worldwide for 21st-century employment markets.

Learners completing the Level 4 Diploma in Information Technology will allow progress to:

The Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security; or
The second year of undergraduate study in Cyber Security; or
Directly into employment in an associated profession.
The Level 4 Diploma in Cyber Security qualification leads learners to enter the University at year 2 of a University degree.

Entry Requirements

The minimum age to register for this program is 18. Prospective students should note that the following entrance qualifications are required for those wishing to undertake this program:

A level (or equivalent) or
Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or
Mature applicant with GCSE (or equivalent) and work experience

It is envisaged that this programme will encourage both academic and professional development so that your learners move forward to realize not just their own potential but also that of organisations across a broad range of sectors. The Diploma is accredited at Level 5 with a total equivalence of 120 credits. It is envisaged that learners completing this Level 5 programme will progress to a university Level 6 Top-Up programme in the risk management field.

Learners completing the Level 4&5 Diploma in Cyber Security will allow progress to:

The final year of an undergraduate degree; or
Directly into employment in an associated profession.

The Level 4 & 5 Diploma in Cyber Security qualification leads learners to enter the University in the final year of a University degree.
