A diligently constructed program prepares the learner to become a trainer whose knowledge lengthens through various contexts. This qualification demands a learner to be observant and excel at assessing performances.

AFG offers DET at Level 5 training. This level is qualified by the learners that are skillful with theoretical learning, critical thinking, good at research, and carry out detailed reflection and evaluation.

Holders of Level 4 Certificate in Education will only be required to evidence up to 70 hours. A minimum of 120 credits has to be achieved in order to gain the qualification, which includes a minimum of 61 credits at a level. The course involves describing, explaining, and some evaluation and referencing.

Progression Route: Students, after finishing qualification, can opt for Qualified Teacher Learning Skills (QTLS) status.
